New Woodlands are a special school that support all children from 5 to 16 who have SEMH as their main need. They admit children from all Lewisham mainstream schools who are referred to them and support the child and the family to put in support mechanisms and strategies to help manage behaviour/learning progress.
Sports Fun 4 All delivered a six-week football programme in the summer term 2021 at New Woodlands for their Year 7, 8 and 9 students. The sessions were designed to teach the pupils the basics of football, such as passing, dribbling and shooting, as many of them were beginners. The young people were advised on how to live healthy lifestyles and the importance of regular exercise. Young people were educated on what consisted of a healthy diet and different ways they can incorporate exercise into their lives.
